Texting and Calls

One of the main reasons to have a phone is to text and call friends and family, and that's great - lets say you need someone to pick you up from school, you can call your parents to come get you, or, if a friend wants to invite you to their house they can easily call you and ask. There is a problem though. Sometimes if you give the wrong people your number, bad things can happen. First, there's spam calls and texts. We all know the feeling when you get continuous calls from a scam number, it sucks. That can happen from friends too. This is mainly a problem when your number is given to someone that doesn't like you. The easiest way to combat this is to just block the number. Another way is to tell an adult, like a parent or teacher and hopefully they can help you solve the problem. Second, there are verification codes. Normally when you sign up for a website they like to verify your email and/or your phone number. If you ever get one of these randomly without any warning and there is an option to deactivate the code, immediately do so, and if there isn't make an attempt to secure all your passwords to things like email as soon as possible, as people might be trying to get access to your many accounts.
