Logging into websites is very important in most cases. You have to log into his site to post, you have to log into Google to use email, you have to log into Spotify, Pandora, and lots of other music providers to actually be able to listen to music. That's a great thing too. When you log into sites that don't require log-ins you normally get extra perks like Youtube with subscribing. Sometimes it isn't a good idea. Many websites (especially older ones) don't have great security which is a big problem. The worse the security is, the higher chance it has of having it's data breached. Data breaches are what they sound like, the data that is stored on a website is breached and released to whoever the person who breached the site is. The data stolen can be small pieces like lists of posts, but can also be as big as things like passwords, private info such as addresses, and more which can lead to other accounts being found if you use the same passwords. That's why sometimes it's better to not log in to websites. There are some obvious things that can let you know not to log in. On Google browsers directly to the left of the URL there is a lock, or, well, hopefully there is. If you click on whatever the symbol is (A lock, that building looking thing on administrator managed devices) it will immediately tell you if your connection is secure with a little explanation of what it means. If it says 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲, do NOT log in. If your connection is not secure, a majority of the time (about 90 percent of the time) that is the website, not your connection, at least if your connection is secure (That's another thing, if you are on an unsecured network we recommend not logging in as they are most likely not secure either). When you log into unsecured sites the data you send could end up anywhere. If you've logged in on these types of sites we recommend-if possible or needed-to attempt to delete said account, you don't have to, but if you feel unsafe and it is possible, take any action you feel is needed.

This site is great for knowing if an email has been signed up on a website that has been breached. - https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Hope this helped at least one person!
